The next two images show how you would highlight and then delete unwanted text. In this example, you would be responding to the sentence "The male to female ratio is two to one." Highlight the unwanted text before that sentence.... |

Do the same with the text following the sentence you'd like to quote. |

Now you should be left with just the sentence you'd like to quote. |

Now, for a little formatting to neaten it up, and to make sure the sentence stands out as being from the original post, enclose it in angle brackets (>>original text here<<) so it is easily distinguishable from the response. |

Then space down, and type your response. Voila!! |

Don't forget to change the subject line when necessary!! |
